As a bisexual, it sickens me that some people WILL keep scrolling.
As the straight daughter of a gay man, it sickens me that some people will keep scrolling.
As a straight girl with a basic understanding of equality and love, it also sickens me that people will keep scrolling.
As a straight Christian woman, I pray that people will not scroll past this. Love, not judge.
I reblog this every single time.
Sorry for the red text, but it was the most readable color for these pictures.
I think comparing pictures of someone who is suffering with anorexia to a picture of a plus sized model in order to get people to say curvy is better is an unfair comparison and a cheap shot at making naturally thin girls feel bad. Of course when you compare someone who is visibly unhealthy to someone who is healthy and has the benefit of photoshop, styled hair and makeup, sexy clothes and lighting, people are going to agree with you. Its just like using a picture of a VS model and a picture of someone who is morbidly obese to prove that thin is better. You’re playing two completely different things against each other and lumping all thin people into the eating disorder category and all the fat people into the “real” and “beautiful” category. If I took the two bottom pictures in this post and wrote “Real women are thin” on it, fat people would LOSE THEIR SHIT LIKE NO OTHER over it and would jump all over it saying “That’s not fair! you can’t compare those two! One is a model and the other is sick!!” So why is it okay to do the same exact thing with a plus sized model and an anorexic patient and saying “Real women have curves”? Because it works in your favor. Admit it.
Stop comparing bodies and giving everyone a reason to hate themselves. The fat community is just as guilty of body shaming as the thin community. Also, lets not forget ALL THE DIFFERENT BODY TYPES IN BETWEEN who get stuck in this fat vs skinny war.
